Everybody loves snorkelling and exploring the underwater life and beauty. But to come across beautiful fish, coral and plants you have to go little deeper than the water surface. Unforgettable Days are offering you a two day weekend intensive scuba course experience. This action packed session prepares you for the open water dive - your final step in the process of obtaining your PADI Scuba Diving Certification Card (sdcc).

The initial part of the experience is a two day course at the Aquarius Scuba Diving Centre (Saturday and Sunday). In the class room you will learn about equipment, physics and physiology, safety and the environment of diving and how it applies to you and the underwater. A combination of lecture with slides and video presentations are used. Once in the pool, you will learn snorkelling, scuba diving skills, and safety techniques. You will become familiar with various types of scuba equipment and develop the confidence required for your open water dives.

The final part consists of 4-5 dives from the shore and includes your certification card. The open water diving and certification are conducted in the spring and summer in the clear waters of either the Georgian Bay (Fathom Five Park) in Tobermory, the St Lawrence River in the Brockville area, Kingston, Innerkip Quarry, Gulliver’s Lake, and Lake Simcoe.

Location
Courses are available within the GTA and possibly in different locations depending on the desired date. Please contact us with the date to confirm the location.

Vital information
The participants need to be in good health, minimum age is 10. Medical statement must be signed before course and a certificate must be presented if over the age of 65. Participants can be beginners with little or no experience, however; you must be comfortable in the water. It is necessary that you bring food and drinks to the course, as it will be all day.

Numbers
Up to 20 participants can be included in this Experience.

Session length
The weekender course lasts all day on Saturday and Sunday and the open water dive takes place during the day for a few hours each day. Please contact us to confirm exact times.

Weather
The weather does not affect the Weekender Course Experience however, please allow for more travel time during bad weather conditions. The Open Water Dive may be dependant on the weather. It is necessary that you contact the dive centre to confirm the check out dive (all contact details will be included in the Experience).

Dress code
Comfortable clothes suggested for the course programme and you must also bring a swim suit and towel.

Availability
The course is available every weekend except for the following weekends: March 26th-27th/July 30th-31st/ September 3rd-4th / December 24th-25th.

The open water diving and certification is available every weekend from
June 4th to November 6th. (Please make arrangements for the open water dive certification with the dive school for the date and location that suits you best)

The first appointment for the weekender course will be booked through Unforgettable Days and the subsequent dates should be confirmed and arranged with Aquarius Dive Centre. The Dive Centre is a registered PADI centre and follows its guidelines and regulations.
